Camila Cabello - Familia (Vinyl)

Camila Cabello celebrates her 25th birthday in 2022. And fittingly, the Cuban-American singer, songwriter and actress is releasing a new album, her third by now: "Familia" is the name of the follow-up to "Camila" (2018) and "Romance" (2019), which reached number one and three in the US charts.

Work on "Familia" began, according to Camila, when she wrote "a bunch of songs" with Scott Harris in her Miami bedroom. Twelve of them eventually made the cut, which then became an album with producers Mike Sabath, Ricky Reed and Cheche Alara in Los Angeles.

And the name says it all. On Twitter, Camila revealed to her followers, "This whole album was inspired by two things for me: Family and food. Your blood family, but also your family of choice. Who you want to break bread with. Who you want to sit at the dinner table with, who you want to cook for, who you want to drink wine with, who you want to dance with in the living room. For me, these are the moments when I am happy to be alive, these moments of shared joy, of true vulnerability and connection with other people. Moments when the food cooked together nourishes the soul, as does the laughter, conversation and emotional intimacy. I hope you enjoy it and that it inspires you and your family to many wine-drunk kitchen dance parties."
